Always the consummate show dog, Cruiser stepped into the show ring as a baby and made it his own.  At only two years and ten months of age obtained his Grand Champion Title with 64 Challenges averaging of 15 points per Challenge. He also won 6 Best in Shows on the way to his Grand Championship.

Cruiser is that ‘once in a lifetime’ show dog and we thank his breeder John Forbes of Baagna Kennels for breeding us an incredibly special dog. To date he has won 14 BIS and 14 RUBIS. Cruiser is a Truly Remarkable Basenji who has been a great asset to our kennel.

Cruiser at home will play with the puppies and teach them to hunt as a pack. He is a master thief and steals things so cleverly that mummy doesn't know who to chastise for the latest misdemeanour.

Truly a mummy's boy he loves nothing better than to cuddle up with his mum on the lounge in the evening.  "A big Smoocher" Cruiser just loves his cuddles and having his chest rubbed or head; he will contentedly purr whilst receiving his cuddles.  

Now as a 9 year old, Cruiser still wants to show and gives his all whenever he steps into the ring.  Whilst he still wants to show, and his health & condition are excellent he will continue to be seen in the ring on a semi-regular basis.
